New Home Construction
So you’re building a home. You’ve selected your builder and are asking about having a central cleaning system installed during construction. Here are a few potential pitfalls to consider.
The builder may have a subcontractor preference or even a standing contract with another provider. If so, you might be locked into whatever system or package they offer. This can lead to a premium price for a substandard power unit or toolset.
Some builders will not allow a subcontractor you hire on their job sites, even though it is your home. We have good working relationships with builders and carry the necessary insurance and other required elements but there have been a few times, the builder demanded a kickback in order to allow us onsite.
Some builders charge you a substantial markup for these systems. We’ve seen them from 10%, which is common and acceptable, to as much as 100%.
