Low suction with a dual motor power unit
When experiencing low suction in a dual motor power unit, the most likely issue is a motor failure. When one of the motors fails, the performance will drop to below 50% of normal. This amount of reduction in cleaning power is usually noticed right away. We have seen situations where the customers cleaning staff did not notice or mention the issue and then later (sometimes years later) when the second motor fails and there is no suction at all we get a call out for repair.
Two motor machines generally provide a great deal more airflow and sometimes can allow for two inlets to be open at the same time. These units are great for churches, schools, and some businesses. Other times a zoned cleaning system with multiple single motor power units is the better option.
